ABOUT
This training offers the what, why, where and how of rolling and MFR from basics to latest Fascia & Neuro Science considerate of unique skeletal variation, body proportion and psycho social differences which all influence the repertoire of language that is useful when sharing these techniques and includes The Roll Model® Method training.
You will be given roll outs that can literally re-lease the way you inhabit your body and breath. Learn the art of inclusive teaching why some bodies will need completely opposite cues or balls to have similar experiences.
Whether your interest is restorative, posture, breath, co-ordination, balance, MFR, mobility, agility, sports performance or recovery, speed/reaction time, post-surgery, resiliency, down regulation, up-regulation or refining proprioceptive awareness (of body part relative to body part or body in space), or interoceptive sensory awareness this training is rich in content, sequences and teaching skills and gives you the why to all that is offered, making it natural to retain what you learn and be inspired to teach others.
Take advantage of Lee (your trainer's) 20+ years clinical and teaching experience as she shares the most precious and insightful teachings from her many teachers and mentors and past students who inspired many of the variations and modifications and sequences.

The Roll Model® Method: Ball Sequencing & Innovation
Learn to effortlessly craft innovative moves and sequences to differentiate your teaching for any individual or community.
Deepen your understanding of pain physiology and learn the optimal use of 4 different sized Roll Model® Balls (included with the training) to unravel patterns of pain and dysfunction.
Refine your anatomical fluency of bony landmarks, muscular attachments, and the fascial seam-system through experiential mapping strategies to enhance your teaching and personal daily practice.
Explore self-myofascial release in over-used areas of your body like your hands and knees, or completely ignored areas like the diaphragm and pelvic floor.
Learn the art of crafting test/retest scenarios to provide instant feedback of improved function or changed sensation/posture
Learn tools for consistently creating innovative Therapy Ball sequences for yourself and your clients
Improve classroom demonstration of Therapy Ball techniques and trouble-shoot classroom pitfalls and challenges when presenting to beginners or more experienced students.

ABOUT Lee-Anne Heron ND, ERYT, YACEP, Your Facilitator
Lee is a mum of 3, and naturopath with over 20 years clinical experience, and a highly experienced yoga teacher and trainer with over 2000 hours yoga teacher training and body work certificates. Her areas of training expertise are in Functional Anatomy, Yin Yoga, Yoga Tune Up® and the Roll Model® Method and Lee is the only Roll Model Method® Teacher Trainer in the Southern Hemisphere .
Lee studied The Roll Model Method with its founder Jill Miller as well as modules in Embodied Anatomy, Core, Hips, Breath and Bliss in person with Jill and has assisted her at national conferences and loves to share the insights from Jill and other senior Roll Model® Method teacher trainers and has been sharing this curriculum since 2015.
Lee has participated in multiple dissections with Gil Hedley and Antonio Stecco, studied Fascia, Functional Anatomy, Biomechanics and Embryology in person with Jaap Van Der Wal, John Sharkey, Robert Schleip, Gil Hedley, Thomas Myers, Daniel Keown, Leslie Kaminoff, and Jules Mitchell, and loves sharing the insights these teachings have given her.
Having studied Yin Yoga in person with Paul and Suzee Grilley, Bernie Clark, Joe Barnett, Jo Phee, Tina Nance, and Sarah Powers, and foundational training in Trauma Sensitive Yoga, Lee has become a popular teacher on the faculty of teacher training schools around the world and you may spot her in Paul Grilley’s Functional Approach to Yoga video filmed in LA in 2015. Lee brings the mindful and functional approach of the yin teachings and applies these to the MFR and rolling teachings in ways we haven't seen on other trainings.
Lee teaches her students to explore an embodied practice of curiosity and observation that inevitably spills into life off the mat. Her years of practice on and off the mat are evident in her teaching, inspiring students in mindful MFR and rolling practice. Lee is looking forward to meeting and supporting you throughout and beyond this training and is honoured to share the Roll Model® Method curriculum as part of this training.
