Legs — not machines or furniture — should carry us through life. This class awakens muscles and ranges of motion in the foot, ankle, knee and hip using novel poses and corrective exercises. We'll work the whole body but the emphasis is on dynamic strengthening and coordination (from toes to butt) so we can — some day — sit motionless and unsupported on the floor for 60 minutes. Simple. Not gentle. All levels welcome. Class ends with transportive relaxation and concentration practice (dharana). Once a month on the new moon: supine leg stretch series.
