I tend to believe everything happens for a reason. Growing up as a constant mover and shaker, I played numerous sports and always seemed to have had too much energy for both my teachers and parents. While pregnant with my first child, I drifted away from the one thing that consistently lead me towards a more balanced state, frequent and consistent movement. After birthing each of my first 3 babes (now have four), I did revisit my natural desire to get moving yet found it inconsistent due to the constant pressures of new motherhood. Shortly after my second youngest was born, I did find my way back; back to my body and that passion within me to move. I truly discovered purpose after recognizing what I had believed to be my greatest weakness was actually one of my greatest strengths. Movement is life. It has repeatedly helped me feel alive, achieve greater balance mentally, find more strength with enhanced function physically and most importantly, it draws me into the present. After completing my first 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in 2014, I didn't know it was the beginning of something bigger. I went on to complete an additional 100hrs of Vinyasa Flow training and also further acquainted myself with the principals and practices of Yoga Tune Up ®. I am endlessly seeking greater awareness of myself in my own practice and I am always grateful for the opportunity to share what I have learned along the way through guiding students towards further embodiment. If moving could help me so much how could I not want to help others explore their own experience with their bodies?
