Lace‘s yoga journey started in 2009, when she still had a full-time corporate job. She stepped onto her (borrowed) mat, hoping to get a good workout to de-stress. She got so much more. The energised feeling she got after each class, the ever-evolving discoveries about herself, and the constant reminder of the power of the breath are what made her develop a deeper love for the practice.

In 2016, she took her 200hr Hatha/Ashtanga teacher training in Singapore, and continues to train with international teachers to further her knowledge and skills. In 2017, she took an Arm Balances and Inversions course with California-based trainer Liz Arch under Yoga International. And in 2019, finding a deeper passion for understanding the human body and movement, she traveled to New York to train for Yoga Tune Up® Teacher Certification.

This turning point in her teaching journey was brought about by her newfound love for physical activities beyond yoga, particularly obstacle course racing. She has since included functional fitness, resistance training, and running in her fitness routine. She realized how each movement discipline complemented the other, and her search for bringing these together eventually led her to Yoga Tune Up®

Lace currently teaches yoga full time, offering both public and private ashtanga, hatha, vinyasa, restorative, and most recently, Yoga Tune Up® classes.
