Pull up a chair for this description, but don’t take a seat quite yet. Get ready to get re-acquainted with your chair in simple and challenging ways that’ll make you want to sit back down. This class uses your body and a chair to both offload stress and ramp up your strength. *Class uses a chair throughout, metal folding chairs are ideal, but any chair will do.
After doing the CHAIR CHALLENGE class, we recommend you also do the following class from the Library.
SIT STILL partners with CHAIR CHALLENGE in a less than obvious way. The Chair class is (ironically) not about sitting, but uses the chair like an old fashioned Nautilus machine for every part of your body. The Sit Still class turns sitting on the ground into a respectable old-fashioned workout that will make your hips hum for days.
In each class from MOVE, BREATHE, ROLL, – Innovate Series Jill leaves the confines of the ‘rectangle cage’ and brings you into her creative lab where she picks one theme and alchemizes it to help you identify body blind spots. Each class is a whole-body session full of surprises and novel therapeutic approaches that address mobility, pain, strength and soft-tissue recovery. If you’re hungering for something a little different, these sequences will interject some spice into your own practice and spark your own creativity.
