I have fallen in love with not just rolling balls on my body, but rolling my body’s bones. I have found it to be one of the most helpful preparations prior to practices where I need dynamic strength through a full range of motion. My formula: Roll. Mobilize. Stabilize. Dynamically Stabilize. This class explores slow, almost imperceptible (sloth-like) movements that ultimately allow your attuned cobra body to emerge and slither free.
After doing the COBRA class, we recommend you also do the following class from the Replay Library.
The reason I’m pairing this replay class with the new COBRA Class is that back bends ask for controlled mastery of spinal extension. The Spine Time class supports and complements all the other ways your spine moves.
In this Series, called Evolution, Jill goes back to her roots, teaching 16 different one hour classes, breaking down and building into well-known Yoga Poses as the focus of each class. Using Roll Model® balls, other props and novel strength building exercises, Jill strategically sequences to properly prep the body for each pose.
