Handstand – Give Yourself A Hand
Handstands are like trustfalls, except you have to trust yourself rather than counting on others. When trust is built upon a solid foundation of knowing where your parts are, especially your center of gravity, it can become a safe and wonderful place to grow, even upside down.

Trustfalls…did you do those as a kid? When two kids would stand behind you and you’d fall backwards and they’d catch you? Handstands are A LOT like that, but you have to trust yourself rather than counting on others. Self-trust is not easy to build. But when built upon a solid foundation of self-awareness, of knowing where you are in this world and recognizing center, upside down can become a safe and wonderful place to grow. *Handstands occur at the very end of class, 80% of the class is preparatory.*
After doing the HANDSTAND class, we recommend you also do the following class from the Library:
The reason I’m pairing this replay class with the new HANDSTAND Class is because your hands knead some therapy before and after your handstand class in this concentrated 30 minute rollout.
In this Series, called Evolution, Jill goes back to her roots, teaching 16 different one hour classes, breaking down and building into well-known Yoga Poses as the focus of each class. Using Roll Model® balls, other props and novel strength building exercises, Jill strategically sequences to properly prep the body for each pose.
