In my halcyon days as a yoga only practitioner I avoided high intensity training for 2 reasons: 1) Explosive work left me injured (cuz I was so overstretched!) 2) I would be sore for days afterwards (cuz I was so weak and overstretched!). After I finally came out of my yoga only fog, I realized that my movement diet was missing many macro-nutrients including cultivating true elasticity in my fascial body and heart strengthening, heart-thumping conditioning. This HIIT-ish class aims to support you with precovery and recovery rollouts as well as to safely navigate an embodied on-ramp for super fun, health building intensity.
After doing the HIIT-ish: Conscious Conditioning class, we recommend you also do the following classes from the Library:
The resiliency spectrum is built by empowering your highest highs and your lowest lows. Try this Nidra class twice during the week where you practice HIIT-ish 3 times. Interweave them and truly gain strength by diving into these two deep ends. *Link to Huberman Lab Podcast: Build Strength & Stamina with Dr. Andy Galpin
In this series of MOVE, BREATHE, ROLL – The Logical/Mythological Series, Jill focuses on common myths and misperceptions of practice that still persist in yoga and movement classrooms today. Each class tackles a myth that unrolls like a sticky mat when you filter it through anatomy, kinesiology and physiology. Join Jill on this fun myth-busting journey that also translates into other popular movement forms including pilates, CrossFit and Instagram Inspo. Each class will attempt to unpack a myth from a historical/contextual lens and take you through Tune Up Fitness movement practices that help your body to be a lab of curiosity and discovery.
