What’s the purpose of rolling when you’re already over-stretched? The hypermobile body has its unique reasons for KNEADING massage. On a musculoskeletal level, even though many joints may be lax, portions of muscle may be hypertonic to try to “hold it together” for the rest of the body. These muscle imbalances can create unnecessary pain and further proprioceptive confusion. This class aims to support the hypermobile body with best practice guidelines for rolling. Use this class to relieve pain and as a prep for your own strength based work. This class is ideal for movers who have hypermobility symptoms or for those who teach hypermobile bodies. Part lecture/part practice.
