Focus on restricting your inhale to find more power and strength in each breath you take. Train the intercostals and diaphragm to do more work than the shoulders and chest by narrowing your inhalation in through a straw. This exercise helps you practice breath retention and release during the breath cycle to power your diaphragm and inspiratory muscles of respiration.
Inspiratory Warm Up with Straw arouses a more sympathetic side of you, and supercharges your breath by restricting its flow inward.
