Restore ease and length to the upper back with this massage and movement sequence, and notice the effects it has on how you feel, move and breathe.These exercises build heat and encourage elasticity along the upper spine. This region can be riddled with tension and inadvertently affect respiration.
Pro tip: take notice of how you are breathing before and after this class. The elasticity of the muscles at the top of the spine contribute to the lungs’ capacity to expand. Observe if resetting the tone in these muscles can help you inhale and exhale with more ease.
