Find more room to fill circumferentially with breath by focusing awareness around the ribcage. Come to a rest position, and pay attention to how the shape of your ribs reflects your breath. As you practice, notice yourself breathing more fully using your intercostals and thoracic respiratory core, and less so with the upper back and shoulders.
Thoracic Breath helps you experience a wider, more elastic breath that supports healthy rib mobility and helps offset breath-related tension in the neck, shoulders, and low back.
