Your arm bone is indeed connected to your hip bone. Through this chest and shoulders rolling practice you get a solid massage template for improving how arm movement flows through all soft tissue structures from your upper body and links all the way to the pelvis.
With athletes, this treatment is critical to help facilitate clean, unencumbered overhead positions. The goal is to restore fluid movement to all the soft tissues around the breastbone, collarbones, arm bones and shoulder blades, so that they can inhabit optimal resting positions in the body.
For this self massage you will use Yoga Tune Up® Plus sized balls and the Alpha® ball. These applications are performed at a wall, so you have a chance to modulate the depth of pressure and, if needed, easily swich to the soft, inflated Coregeous ball.
What you may find after consistent practice is that when the bones and the soft tissues are positioned well in relation to one another, you gain new advantages for accessing power, stability and mobility out of your joint spaces.
