I have been practicing yoga for 18 years and teaching for 4 years. I bring mindful yet playful energy to my teaching and have a multidisciplinary approach that blends yoga philosophy, functional movement, and fascial science. As a yoga teacher and movement educator, I aim to empower people to be more connected to their bodies and encourage self-care and self-inquiry.

In 2018, I completed the 200 hour Hatha and Vinyasa training at De La Sol in Hamilton, ON, Canada. Since then, my interest in movement and classical yoga grew stronger.  In 2019 I became a certificated Yoga Tune Up® Teacher and Roll Model® Method Practitioner. During the pandemic, I took advantage of the extra time at home and did numerous online trainings on functional movement, biomechanics and the fascial system. I also went deeper into the philosophical studies of Non-Dual Shiva Tantra. In 2022, I completed the Yin & Meditation Yoga TT with Yoga Medicine®. Altogether, I have completed over 500 hours of certifications and courses.  I am currently working towards my certification as a Yoga Medicine® Therapeutic Specialist.
I am also a social worker at a domestic violence shelter. The wisdom, experience and humility that I have gained from over 20 years of supporting women and children escaping abuse informs my teaching with a foundation of service and compassion. Life is hard--for all of us. We all have trauma to one degree or another. Many people come to this practice as a way to relieve stress, deal with pain, and get more in touch with themselves. I have come to know–both as a student and as a teacher, that when we can practice the yogic philosophies of attention, intention and embodiment, we can cultivate resilience and come to find a sense of home and peace within ourselves.
