Your shoulders could use some attention after all they’ve done for you. Whether you experience pain, limited range or cannot seem to build more strength, this mini-workshop hands you a toolbox to find shoulder satisfaction. From the deep rotator cuff to the superficial glam muscles of the deltoids, youll get the moves, the motion and better function.
Benefits: identify your own shoulder tension and how to help yourself when shoulder pain creeps up. Improve movement and coordination of shoulders. Surprising soothing into neighboring neck, elbows and hands.
After doing the Shoulder P.E.: Embodiment School for Shoulders class, we recommend you also do the following two classes from the Library:
1) Once you’ve thoroughly mapped your shoulders, why not build your way safely towards Handstand. This class focuses on preparation for Handstand, if the pose isn’t accessible to you today, you will still get a well-rounded embodiment practice. 2) Complement your shoulder studies with a hips and lower body focused class. Pigeon is not the goal, it’s a guide.
In this series of MOVE, BREATHE, ROLL – The Logical/Mythological Series, Jill focuses on common myths and misperceptions of practice that still persist in yoga and movement classrooms today. Each class tackles a myth that unrolls like a sticky mat when you filter it through anatomy, kinesiology and physiology. Join Jill on this fun myth-busting journey that also translates into other popular movement forms including pilates, CrossFit and Instagram Inspo. Each class will attempt to unpack a myth from a historical/contextual lens and take you through Tune Up Fitness movement practices that help your body to be a lab of curiosity and discovery.
