Owner of New Found Movement and Certified Movement Educator Claire Miller has been teaching movement for over 30 years. Claire teaches a wide variety classes to all ages and believes we should all have diversity in our movement diet. 

Claire began dance classes at the age of two and has been dancing ever since. While attending post secondary education in Dance Teacher Training in NL, and then professional modern dance at the School of Toronto Dance Theatre, Claire became intrigued with body mechanics and the study of human movement. She then went on to certify in Pilates mat and equipment, Hatha Yoga, and Zumba. 

Claire's passion for deeper understanding of human biomechanics drives her to continue to study the most cutting edge and effective techniques and training available. She is currently the only fully certified Yoga Tune Up® (biomechanics based yoga) and Roll Model Method® (myofasical release) Teacher in Newfoundland and is working towards teacher training designation.

Practicing preventative health care to heal from her own injuries through chiropractic, massage, corrective exercise and self-myofascial release, Claire also offers a variety of highly effective restorative programming and receives client referrals from Chiropractors, Doctors, Naturopaths, Massage Therapists and Physiotherapists. 

A dancer first, Claire regularly takes classes and aims to perform once a year. Combining her passion for dance with her endless study of movement she is thrilled to contribute to the Dance Community. She has developed a Total Body Tune up for Dancers Program, which includes a master classes and workshop series for dancers and movement teachers. She has also created a Movement to Music dance programs at Kenny’s Pond and Tiffany Village Retirement Communities. Her students have ranged in age from 8 to 103 and she enjoys sharing her education and experience with them all. 

Claire has learned from her extensive studies, teaching, and personal experience that movement is medicine and she applies that approach to all of her teaching. She is known for her "xray eyes" and for providing a “personal touch” to all her classes by tailoring them to suit her students’ needs.  She teaches with infectious excitement and is thrilled that there is always more to learn!
