A Little About Me

Holly Clemens, Ph.D. is a Professor of Sport & Exercise Studies at Cuyahoga Community College, a Certified Teacher for Tom Myers' Anatomy Trains, a Yoga Tune-Up Certified Teacher, and a Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT).   Holly has a Ph.D. in Health Education & Promotion, M.Ed. in Exercise Science, and B.S. in Physical Education.   She has been teaching at the College level for 20+ years, with an emphasis in kinesiology, exercise physiology, and exercise testing/exercise prescription.   Holly helped develop the Sport & Exercise Studies (SES) program at Tri-C in 2007 and provides students with the education, knowledge and skills to be movement professionals,fitness specialists and personal trainers.   In 2016, Holly was awarded the Ralph M. Besse award for teaching excellence at Cuyahoga Community College.

Holly has been in the fitness industry for 30+ years teaching health, fitness and wellness workshops/programs, working with college athletic teams and teaching 200-Hr. Yoga Teacher Trainings at Prana Yoga and Dance.  She assists with conditioning for Tri-C's baseball and softball teams and designs fitness training programs for individuals and for employee wellnesss programs.  

Holly is also a ERYT-500, YACEP, ACSM-Exercise Physiologist, NSCA-Strength and Conditioning Specialist and Personal Trainer, Fascial Stretch Therapist-Level III, Functional Range Conditioning Specialist, FMS (Functional Movement Screen)-Level 2,  and a Thai Massage Practitioner.  She assists dissection workshops with Tom Myers of Anatomy Trains at Todd Garcia's Laboratory of Anatomical Enlightenment in Boulder, Colorado and has completed numerous dissection workshops with Gil Hedley.  Holly is excited to bring her knowledge, skills, energy and passion to all she meets.
