My Specialties: Structured Mobility and Recovery Systems that help collision athletes stay durable and available.

Julie Mackey is a movement educator and mental performance coach specializing in breathing biomechanics, mobility, and recovery strategies for athletes and active populations. Her work focuses on how respiration, movement efficiency, and mental training intersect to support resilience, recovery, and long-term performance.

Drawing from principles of functional movement, fascia science, anatomy, and mindfulness-based performance training, Julie helps clients better understand their bodies and develop sustainable strategies for managing physical stress, pain, and mental pressure. Her approach combines yoga-based mobility work, breath regulation, and mental performance practices designed to improve durability, focus, and recovery.

Julie designs customized mobility, yoga, and mental performance programs for athletes and active individuals seeking to move better, recover more effectively, and perform at a higher level.

Her education includes advanced study in respiration, anatomy, physiology, movement science, and mindfulness meditation. She holds certifications in Mental Performance Mastery, Breath Coaching, Functional Movement Systems, Certified Functional Strength Coaching, Mindfulness Meditation, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, and is a Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) Practitioner.

Julie has been a certified instructor with Tune Up Fitness since 2019, holding credentials as a Yoga Tune Up® Teacher, Roll Model® Method Practitioner, and Body By Breath Instructor. She is also a member of the International Association of Yoga Therapists and the Fascia Research Society.

A graduate of Purdue University, Julie previously worked in global commodities trading and technology consulting before transitioning into movement and performance education. Her athletic background includes competitive gymnastics and collegiate cheerleading.

She founded her movement and mental performance company to help athletes and high performers develop the physical and mental tools needed to adapt to the demands of sport, training, and life.
